Instalments and amounts worked out by hand → Generated from a paste, with consistency checks

What I did

  • Built the sheet that generates the invoice data, making instalment sales workable.

  • Worked closely with the accounting staff until it ran steadily.

Choices I made

  • Pasting the contract data is enough: the split by number of instalments and the amounts follow automatically.

  • Left room to change the amount or the date for a single month.

  • Added a consistency check on the totals to catch mistakes made during manual adjustment.

  • Used array formulas so adding or removing rows does not mean copying formulas again.
