- How it started
- Self-initiated (A streamer said on air that they wanted a version packed with house rules)
- Scale
- Over 450,000 impressions and 1,200 wishlists on Steam (as of December 2025)
What I did
Redesigned it from a Unity-only build into a separated server (Go) and client (Unity / C#).
Made online play work over WebSocket.
Built the infrastructure on AWS (ECS).
Built the server-side game logic test-first.
Started shipping the v2 line in April 2026 and kept releasing through v2.4.0 by July.
What comes next
The full release comes in December 2026.
Q3 2026 goes to stability and to playability: spectating, reusing a room, time limits, guards against mis-taps.
Q4 2026 brings play against the computer, more local rules, richer presentation, and free matches.
Alongside the launch push, the first step into another card game.
Further out, growing it into a platform with many card games on it.
Choices I made
Invested heavily in proving the game logic correct: a debug client that drives several players at once, and a tool that runs a defined scenario and checks the state never drifts.
